This page contain information about CAS Accounts, usernames and passwords.
Your CAS Username is generally your USC Network name.
The initial Password will be sent to you via email when your web folder is created. If you have never logged into the CAS domain, you will need to use the initial password. Once you have successfully logged in, you should change the initial password to a personal one. The exception to this is when you already logged in and changed the password for a directory previously created in the CAS domain.
Passwords are set to expire in 6 months. If you are using a mapped drive, you may not receive a warning that it is about to expire. If you have login failure and know that you are using the correct password, contact rcchelp@cas.sc.edu for assistance.
Your CAS password is NOT synchronized with your USC Network password in VIP. If you desire that they be the same, you must change your CAS password when you change your USC Network password.
For security reasons, the fourth attempt in a row to login without success will result in your CAS account being locked by the server for approximately thirty (30) minutes. Otherwise, contact rcchelp@cas.sc.edu to assistance.
